“AYS has been a member of Stony Point High School’s Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) Advisory Board since 2014. They have donated time and effort to our program, and remain committed to helping increase student awareness and personal development in engineering. Further, AYS hosted a tour for 60 high school students at their office, followed by a construction site visit, so the students could experience both the design and construction process. This field trip kept the students engaged, enlightened, and excited about their futures. Students exclaimed, “I learned so much!” “I’m even more excited about engineering than I was before!” “I had so many questions about buildings and stuff! Can we go again?” “It was amazing to see behind scenes!” and “This was a very educational field trip. Who knew engineers comb through every detail?”
As 21st-century educators, we are extremely grateful to partner with companies like AYS as we share similar values and beliefs for the next generation of engineers. Their support and contributions to our program allow us to ensure our students are receiving a world-class education that is powerful, relevant, and engaging. We look forward to collaborating with AYS in the future, and appreciate their continued support of Round Rock ISD’s STEM initiative.”
